The tour through the history of the city of Wels is rich in highlights. The past of the city of Wels and its inhabitants proves to be a varied event. Models and dioramas show the enormous development up to today. Installations of living rooms and business premises convey a lively and diverse picture of Wels and its people. The Kaiser-Panorama housed in the castle is the only stereoscopic panorama in Austria that is still originally preserved. With Wels Castle, the city has an active and cultural center. In summer, the castle courtyard offers the ideal setting for traditional events and concerts. In addition to the eventful permanent exhibition, the castle also offers a varied special exhibition program. For special events or celebrations, it is possible to rent rooms in the castle.
