Today, the city wall runs from the Reckturm, which was built in the second half of the 13th century, over the terraced city park to Schloss Hartberg to the north, along the ring further east to Franz-Schmidt-Gasse. In the east, the Schölbingerturm has been preserved, from which a short remains of the city wall extend. Below the parish church and the charnel house, the steep slope was part of the church fortress and included in the inner belt of the original city wall.
