Stadtbefestigung Enns

The town fortifications still shape the image of Enns today. In their original form, they consisted of a rampart, moat, outer and inner town wall with a total of 15 defensive towers and four town gates. The complex was built in 1193/94; rebuilt and expanded until the 17th century. Significant parts of the town wall and six defensive towers can still be seen today. Around the town center, parts of the town wall and the towers of the town gates can still be seen.
