St. Nikolaus Kirche Obernberg

In front of an impressive mountain backdrop, framed by larches and birches, the parish church of St. Nikolaus, the protector from dangers of high water and patron saint of the poor, greets from a moraine hill. This church is undoubtedly one of the most beautifully situated churches in North Tyrol and is repeatedly chosen as a motif by photographers. It is also the well-known motif in the Christmas TV commercial for Merci. It was built in the late Baroque style in the years 1760 and 1761. A chapel was already mentioned in a document at the same spot in 1339. You should definitely visit the "landmark" of the municipality of Obernberg.
