The idyllically situated swimming lake is located outside the village of Ritzing, near the district of Helenenschacht, and can be reached via a well-maintained road. Here you can enjoy the beautiful, 42,000 m² facility with its spacious sunbathing areas and, of course, the clear, warm water. The Sonnensee Ritzing is a natural jewel and is one of the cleanest lakes in Burgenland. With a water temperature of 24°C, the lake offers a pleasant, but not too refreshing, cool-down on hot days. The water quality of the Sonnensee is enhanced with Grander technology, and the self-cleaning of the water occurs in a natural, biological way.Water slides, a diving platform, a swimming island, a huge sandy beach with shade for the little ones, sun terraces, beach chairs, day cabins, solar showers, umbrella and sun lounger rental, a massage room, a beach volleyball court, a children's playground, tennis courts, and much more leave no wish unfulfilled for bathers. In the restaurant bar area with a large terrace, visitors have a wide selection of food and drinks. A paved and illuminated path leads around the lake. A designated non-swimmer area provides safety. The entire facility is designed to be barrier-free. For hygienic reasons, dogs are not allowed on the Sonnensee premises.
