Siebenweidenkreis

Sigleß, Burgenland

naturführung

Dense, huge forests in the most beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and green, dozens of lakes reflecting the colors of Indian Summer, idyllic fishing villages with small colorful houses, and miles of coastline. The Canadian province of Nova Scotia, where his brother has found a home, impresses Heinz Bruckschwaiger anew each year when he visits. During hours-long walks, Heinz is alone with himself, his thoughts, and nature. And it is precisely in this breathtaking landscape that the idea for the Siebenweidenkreis (Seven Willow Circle) is born. Heinz has wanted to create an art project for a long time in which water plays the main role. After long discussions about a suitable location, he finally finds the perfect spot: an old garbage dump in the biotope area of Sigleß, which is to be re-naturalized to showcase the diversity of our nature. In the middle of a large circle of seven weeping willows, Heinz has created a place that radiates peace, idyll, and harmony. The six wooden benches between the trees invite visitors to rest and enjoy the enchanting atmosphere. In the very center of the space lies a small pond, which is more or less filled depending on the weather. Meanwhile, the Siebenweidenkreis has not only become a popular excursion destination but also a beautiful wedding venue. The Siebenweidenkreis is freely accessible all year round and can be visited at any time!
