Schützenkapelle - Kapelle zum gegeißelten Christus

Memorial site of the Georg Bucher Rifle Company. The Axamer riflemen and many other idealists built this chapel on the western edge of Axams under the construction management of Ernst Schaffenrath. The idea and the choice of location came from the then rifle captain Arthur Happ and sacristan Pepi Plattner. The small memorial chapel with a wonderful view of the village, the surrounding landscape and mountains was solemnly consecrated on September 29, 2002 by Father Kneussl.
