Schrager Wasserfall und Kaserer Winkl

The Kaserer Winkl is a beautiful valley head with lush Tyrolean Alm (mountain pasture) meadows, impressive mountain peaks, and an idyllic waterfall. From the bus turning point in Kasern, first follow the road towards Alpengasthof Kasern. Shortly before the inn, it is worth taking the short detour to the Schrager Waterfall. It plunges over the rocks a little above the path; on warm summer days, a pleasant refreshment awaits here. There are also a few smaller streams in the area where children can play. Afterwards, you hike further into the Kaserer Winkl. The path leads through extensive Alm terrain into the rear Schmirntal. At a fork in the path, you ascend a bit further before reaching an old shepherd's hut almost at the end of the route. Here you can enjoy the tranquility of the valley head before leisurely hiking back to Kasern along the same path.
