Schneefichte auf der Schlickenalm

The "Schneefichte auf der Schlickenalm" in Weißpriach belongs to the rare, also called Spitzfichten, which only occur in particularly snow-rich areas. They are noticeably slender and have a narrow crown, with very short branches that, due to their shape, offer little support to the snow and therefore cannot suffer crown breakage due to snow load.
