Schlossberglift

On the fast track. An unusual, quick, and comfortable way to ascend the Schlossberg in Graz is the Schlossberglift. The aesthetically very appealing solution of the lift built into the interior of the mountain is very practical when you're in a bit of a hurry or not feeling very mobile at the moment. The glass cabins of the lift allow views of the illuminated rock structure during the ride – a mountain view from inside. Since 2000, the lift has connected the foot of the Schlossberg with the Uhrturm in an accessible and swift manner. With two intermediate stops, it also provides access to the Dom im Berg and the Uhrturm casemates. But the 77-meter-high lift is more than just a means of transportation – it is an experience space, as the two panoramic cabins offer insights into the interior of the rock. In 2019, the Schlossbergrutsche was added, which provides a fast-paced and curvy descent.
