Schloss Waidburg

The "Waidburg", built by Wendelin Yphofer, the former mayor of Innsbruck, soon became the property of Emperor Maximilian. As an enthusiastic hunter, he had the Waidburg converted into a hunting lodge and enjoyed staying here, especially to fish in the nearby lake. The Gothic chapel on the second floor is particularly worth seeing. The municipal office, the library, and an info point of the Tourist Information are located in the Waidburg.
