However, Werndl never lived in this castle. In 1884, the exhibition hall was used for an industrial and electrical exhibition. After Werndl's death, it became the property of his daughter Caroline Baroness Imhof, who also lived there. In 1928, the Tyrolean Franciscan Order acquired it and ran a boys' boarding school, and for a short time also a secondary school. Today, the castle houses privately owned apartments.
