Schloss Seeburg consists of a four-story main building, a castle chapel, and a defensive wall with four round corner towers. In 1999, Schloss Seeburg was extensively renovated. During the renovation, historical wall sections of the medieval complex were uncovered in the castle courtyard. A baroque painting was discovered in the base area of the wedding room. A ruler's bust painted in 1755 with fruit hangings on both sides was restored, documenting the surrounding base design. Schloss Seeburg is well known and popular for both civil and church weddings. The subsequent wedding celebrations can be held in the castle restaurant (banquet hall on the first floor) or in one of the many gastronomic establishments in Seekirchen. Inside the castle* are the civil registry office and the private university Schloss Seeburg. In 2014, the "SchlossKRÄUTERgarten," one of the 12 herb gardens of the Salzburger Seenland, was newly established. Relax on the lounge chair next to the herb garden or discover the other highlights around the Seeburg. Kaleidoscope (Station Seenland Pilgrimage Round) Pirate ship - children's playground for active play Kneipp basin - The Kneipp facility with a stepping basin and two arm basins provides cool moments & is located in the lower area of Seeburg. Additionally, the meadows around Seeburg are lush and very diverse in species, attracting numerous bees, butterflies, and beetles. This biodiversity of flowers and pollinators is further supported by mowing and fertilizing the meadows only twice a year. *The Seeburg cannot be visited inside!
