In 1725, Prince Eugene of Savoy acquired a four-winged 17th-century castle and had it expanded into a magnificent palace complex. At that time, the impressive ensemble of the palace, garden, and estate farm was created, which can still be experienced today.Thirty years later – in 1755 – Maria Theresia took over the country estate. Profound changes to the palace were made between 1773 and 1775: The building was raised by one floor and the rooms on the first floor were redesigned.
