Eckartsau Palace: imperial & close to nature A palace whose origins date back to the 12th century. Sumptuously baroque-elegant, yet at the same time cozy, close to nature, and private. In its versatility, always in harmony with its surroundings. Formerly an imperial hunting lodge, today part of the Donau-Auen National Park and carefully preserved by the Bundesforste. Respectfully and excellently preserved on the outside, inside true masters of their craft such as Fischer von Erlach d.J., Mattielli, or Gran were allowed to work. A visit to the palace is only possible with a guided tour. The palace park and nature playground are open all year round and all day. Admission is free!
