Since 1607, Schleppe Brewery, located just outside the city of Klagenfurt, has cultivated the art of brewing at the highest level. The foundation for today's specialty brewery was laid back then. In addition to Klagenfurter Stadtbräu, top-fermented beers are also brewed. Master brewer Friedrich Koren brews the traditional Schleppe Märzen, the unfiltered house beer, Schleppe Zwickl, Schleppe Bock, and the strongest beer specialty, Schleppe Doppelbock. Schleppe Brewery is now considered Carinthia's center for brewing and distilling culture, ever since the Pfau Distillery settled in its vaults. A house tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. The tour includes the premises, the brewing system, and the fermentation and storage cellar. After the tour, we recommend a reservation at the cozy Braugasthof Felsenkeller, directly in front of the brewery. House tours from May to September! Tours by prior arrangement only!
