TERRA MYSTICA On the 68m long miner's slide (the longest in Europe), you dive into the underground wonder world. Seven mines with fascinating multimedia shows about the creation of the earth, the realm of the underworld, the miraculous healer Paracelsus, and an original replica of a waterwheel hoisting machine from 1831, rebuilt in 2000, let you experience the underground world up close. The concluding mine ride, 800m back to the shaft elevator, which takes you 49m back to the surface, makes the visit to the wonder world in the mountain a unique experience. TERRA MONTANA Via the 68m miner's slide of Terra Mystica, you reach the interior of the mountain and travel 2km by mine train to the 700m long circular route of Terra Montana. In 14 stations, active mining, starting from 800 BC until its closure in 1993, is presented to you with original, functional mining machines. A total of 1300km of tunnels were dug during this time.
