The mountain massif of the Spieljoch was a center of mining hundreds of years ago, where ores, quartz, and even precious metals were extracted. Let yourself be fascinated by a unique history of Tyrolean mining in the excellently preserved mining tunnel. The show mine can be reached from the mountain station with a breathtaking panorama via the Knappensteig with our guide & mine guide (guided tour from the mountain station) in approx. 40 min. Visiting the show mine is only possible with our certified mining guide, who will tell you everything worth knowing about 400 years of mining history. After the tour, your children can participate in crystal panning at the mountain station (50% discount) and take their own crystal souvenir home with them.
