Rundwanderung Grubental

Rundwanderung Grubental

St. Michael, Salzburg

bergtourwandern

Directions: From the tourism office, we walk a few steps uphill to the 'Hotel Post'. Diagonally opposite begins Schulstraße, with paths No. 91, 56, and 93. After Schulstraße and mountain roads, approximately 40 minutes later, we reach a junction with a panoramic sign and rest area. Our path No. 93 veers left into 'Sonndörfl'. At the first farmstead on the right (Bacherhof), there is a terrain cut. There, our hiking trail runs along the field edge, occasionally steeply ascending to the Grubental valley at an altitude of 1,538 meters (about 1.5 hours from the tourism office). On a larch tree on the left, we can see a Marterl (a small roadside shrine). We hike to the right, initially somewhat steeper, to the highest point of the Hollerberg (1,600 meters altitude). Along the beautiful high-altitude trail, we comfortably descend again to the Stickler farm at St. Martinberg and meet there with path No. 91, which leads us back to St. Michael.
