Rundturm Sarmingstein

It was the northern corner point of the "Bastei" - later Schiffmeisterhaus, Sarmingstein 8. In 1602, Provost Parthenreuter of Waldhausen had the administrative building renovated. The tower and the side walls blocked the road. In 1832, the tower and the Bastei were acquired by the Schalberger family. The rock blasting for the construction of the railway line (1908 – 1909) severely damaged the tower, so that it had to be partially demolished.
