Ruhegebiet Kalkkögel

The Kalkkögel Protected Area is located in the northern part of the Stubai Alps and borders the Stubai Alps Protected Area in its southwestern part. In addition to the steep mountain range of the Kalkkögel from Hoher Burgstall to Hohe Saile (Nockspitze) or Pfriemeswand and Hühnernock, the Kalkkögel Protected Area also includes the Nederjoch to the east with Telfeser Berg and Telfeser Wiesen, as well as the mountain ranges to the west around the Innere Fotschertal. The Kalkkögel Protected Area is well developed with numerous hiking trails, paths, and huts. From the Sellraintal, you can reach the Kalkkögel Protected Area through the Fotscher Tal.
