Rauchstubenhaus Schirner

The approximately 300-year-old Rauchstubenhaus (smokehouse) was discovered in the early 1980s by the MR-Filmgesellschaft for a Rosegger series. From 1982 to 1983, the Schirnerhaus was chosen as a filming location for Peter Rosegger's stories "Als ich noch ein Waldbauernbub war". The aforementioned film series made the Schirnerhof known far beyond its borders. In addition to traditional farming tools, documents, and pictures, you can also enjoy original farmer's dishes. Guided tours are possible by prior arrangement!
