Markt Hartmannsdorf, Styria
Discover, celebrate & conquer life Do you fancy escaping everyday life for a day and immersing yourself in nature? Meeting yourself and others? Getting to know new people, but at the same time finding peace? The Raab originates in Passail and flows into the Danube in Hungary after 250 kilometers. Paddling the Raab by canoe all the way to Hungary – now everyone can do that. With the Weites Land Abenteuerclub - under the direction of Mag. Alexander Peschel and Peter Kerschbaumer - you spend a day together on the Raab, paddling, enjoying nature, cooking together and experiencing community in a group. In addition to the nature experience, each tour also includes a short impulse on life topics concerning body, soul and spirit. You should be able to swim; no other prior knowledge is required. After a short introduction, which teaches the basic rules (simple paddling technique, getting in/out, dealing with difficult situations), you get on the water and head towards adventure. Children can only be taken along if accompanied by a legal guardian. In case of bad weather or poor water conditions, the tour will be cancelled or postponed. Catering is provided and included in the price. Weites Land Abenteuerclub Peter Kerschbaumer from Markt Hartmannsdorf loves adventure. For ten years, he professionally organized adventure camps and canoe tours in Sweden. Now he is conquering the Raab with his canoe fleet. All activities are run through the specially founded "Weites Land Abenteuerclub". The idea behind it is not to fight your way archaically through the wilderness, but to encounter nature and yourself. Day canoe tours on the Raab (from Jennersdorf or Sankt Gotthard in Hungary), courses on Lake Stubenberg and a one-week lake adventure trip in Sweden are offered.
