Pumptrack und Jumpline-Anlage Pettenbach

Pettenbach im Almtal, Upper Austria

The BFC Bergflow association, Pettenbach Ski Club, led by Alexander Trink, as well as Mario Mitteregger, Andi Pühringer, and many others, designed the new Pump Track in Pettenbach, directly next to the sports facility along the bypass. From now on, young and old can cruise here by bike. If you also want to use the track, please make sure you have the necessary equipment. A proper mountain bike is just as essential as protective gear (helmet & protectors), which should definitely be worn. Please observe the instructions directly at the entrance. We wish all recreational athletes much joy and, above all, accident-free rides on the new track. Good to know: A pumptrack, formerly known as a BMX trail, is usually created as a circular course from earth or clay and is equipped with numerous waves, such as berms or jumps. The “Bike Trail” is approximately one meter wide. New variations of pumptracks are designed with hard surface materials, such as asphalt or concrete. The first pumptracks were built as early as the 70s and 80s. With 300 hours of voluntary work, the result is now impressive. In addition, the municipality supported by covering costs for certain materials and work. Further great support came from Georg Berger-Schauer, who drew up the plan for it. Karl-Heinz Strauß also provided the basic framework for the ramp with a container.
