"Public Art": Art to go in Central Carinthia "Public Art": Art is available "to go" in Central Carinthia. Simply scan, discover, and explore. The Görtschitztal is home to numerous visual artists who have also left their mark in public spaces. A special place that invites you to linger is Werner Hofmeister's Quellenkulturpark. The garden around his museum in the so-called Lachitzhof, located directly on the Görtschitz, is dotted with works by the renowned artist. The artist's aim to create connections to the history, legends, and landscape of the Görtschitztal accompanies visitors throughout the entire area. An experience for multiple senses To stimulate interpretation and imagination, the Central Carinthia region, together with Werner Hofmeister, has now developed a new attraction in the always accessible Quellenkulturpark. Using QR codes and NFC chips, visitors can retrieve information about artists and their works via smartphone. This information is provided vocally as an audio guide and on the one hand explains the intention behind Hofmeister's sculptures, but on the other hand also leaves room for personal interpretations and stimulates the imagination. This creates a new exciting way to rediscover public art in the Görtschitztal. The Quellenkulturpark is freely accessible at all times; the Museum für Quellenkultur, which also houses Hofmeister's studio, can be visited by prior arrangement. The next step is the landscape garden at the Hornburg power plant, Erwin C. Klinzer's studio. Here, the new description panel has been equipped with QR codes and NFC chips.
