The Beletage of Schloss Eggenberg has retained its original appearance almost unchanged to this day. The cycle of 24 princely rooms with original furnishings from the 17th and 18th centuries is among the most significant ensembles of historic interior spaces in Austria. Rarely has a room decor of comparable artistic quality been preserved so completely and undisturbed. Its centerpiece is the magnificent Planetensaal (Planet Hall).
