Proßeggklamm

The steep walls of the Proßeggklamm drop over 120m. Over time, the Tauernbach formed this spectacular gorge, which is one of the largest in East Tyrol. Since summer 2024, the gorge has been accessible and experienceable again. From the district of Proßegg, the red mountain trail leads with a slight ascent into and through the gorge. Especially the breathtaking view of the almost 100m high Steiner Waterfall provides the necessary cooling on hot summer days. Those who want to rent a helmet can get one at the Matrei i.
