The Piendl Chapel is located in Hintergöriach, directly next to the road in front of the Piendlhaus, and is therefore accessible in winter as well. The masonry chapel shrine has a square base and faces west. The curved tent roof is covered with wooden shingles and equipped with a globe and cross. Notable are the elaborate plasterwork. The coarse pebble dash is structured with fine plaster bands. The lintel of the entrance area imitates an arch construction with a keystone. The round-arched niche is set back, creating a protected prayer space. A two-leaf rod grille with leaf decor and the inscribed letters "IS" (the "H" is missing), as well as a cross, protect the niche contents. A framed color print depicting Heart of Mary hangs on the back wall. A ceramic crucifix with attendant figures, Mary statues, and angel statues complete the niche furnishings. The chapel was built in 1937. The reason for its construction is not known to the owner.
