The first inhabitants in Waidring had a wooden place of worship instead of a church, which was later built in stone. Regular church services have been held here since 1381; before that, the people of Waidring had to go to Kirchdorf for church. 1478 Construction of an initially Gothic church | 1759 Construction began on the current Baroque church under Kassian Singer, completed under Andreas Huber. 1764 Consecration of the church | At the end of the 19th century, the old frescoes were painted over because the original paintings in Rococo style were no longer liked - but these were uncovered and restored to their original state again in 1950.
