Pfarrkirche zum Hl. Jakob d. Ä.

The parish church of St. Jakob was probably built in 1273 and first mentioned in a document in 1303. The patron saint of the church is Saint James the Greater. The construction of this Gothic church continued into the 17th century. After its destruction by an avalanche in 1689, the church was rebuilt using the existing foundation walls and consecrated in the same year in the presence of the Bishop of Chiemsee, and completed in 1699. The church possesses magnificent figures from the time of its construction, attributed to Georg Faistenberger, an oil painting of the Resurrection of Christ by Ignaz Faistenberger, and ceiling paintings by Johann Endfelder.Catholic services: Sunday 10:15 AM & Monday 7 PM
