Pfarrkirche zum Heiligen Petrus

The late Baroque parish church with a slender north tower is located directly in the center of Inzing and is surrounded by a cemetery. A chapel was mentioned in documents in 1260. The current building dates from 1777 to 1779. The Prince-Bishop of Brixen, Josef Graf von Spaur, solemnly consecrated it in 1780. Above the tabernacle hangs a "weeping Mariahilf picture, which was discovered by a woman behind a chest. The picture was brought to the pilgrimage church of Kaltenbrunn. However, it was brought back to Inzing and placed in the parish church. It was revered by many faithful from near and far in the 18th and 19th centuries. The influx of pilgrims was particularly large in 1848, when Mary and the Infant Jesus are said to have moved their eyes and mouth.
