Zederhaus, Salzburg
Right in the town, you will find the Catholic Parish Church of Zederhaus dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. Every year on June 24th - the feast of the Nativity of John the Baptist - the nature park community of Zederhaus celebrates its patronal festival, the day of its church patron. During the procession, the colorful "Prangstangen" (parade poles) are carried, which can then be viewed at the parish church until August 15th, the "Hohen Frauentag" (High Day of the Virgin). The 500-year-old bell O REX GlORIALE (1490) bears witness to the early history of the Zederhaus church. It is currently kept in the Tamsweg local history museum. The church was likely built in the 14th century, but this has not been definitively proven.
