Pfarrkirche Viechtwang

The consecration of the Viechtwang Church took place on December 27, 1157. The still existing consecration documents report on the great festivity with Bishop Konrad of Passau. The church was consecrated to St. John the Evangelist, who is still the patron saint of the parish today, and to St. Giles, whose name day is celebrated on September 1.
