The existing church was partially demolished due to structural damage. According to plans by architect Heinz Tesar, the church was remodeled and expanded from 1978 to 1979. The old altar area from the Baroque period can now be closed with a sliding door and serves as a weekday chapel; the altars remained intact. A new square church space was added, oriented diagonally towards the new folk altar. On feast days, both areas can be used together. The annual celebration, Ulrichsprangtag, is traditionally held near Ulrich Day with a procession involving the local clubs.
