The parish church, standing slightly elevated on the high plateau, is consecrated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The church was first mentioned in a document in 1295, and since 1640, St. Kathrein/Off. has also been its own parish. The high altar with its beautiful painting of the Holy Family is very striking. The church is a popular destination for excursions and weddings. Celebrations of all kinds take place here. The church is located directly in the village center, surrounded by inns and restaurants, as well as shopping facilities, the municipal office, and the "Kathreinerhaus" with an e-charging station, where many events repeatedly take place. If you go on a hike in St. Kathrein, you almost always pass by the church or start your tour here. The "Garten Eden" cycling tour also passes by here.
