The parish church, originally Gothic, built in 1425, is dedicated to St. Jodok, a patron saint of pilgrims and hikers. In earlier times, goods and passenger traffic passed by here, which went through the Schmirntal valley over the Tuxer Joch to the Zillertal valley or over the Padauner Sattel to the Brenner. In 1783/84, the church was expanded and baroqueized. The dome frescoes and the paintings of the high altar are by Josef Schmutzer.
