Pettnau, Tyrol
The parish church of St. Georg zu Leiblfing is idyllically situated on a hill. It is considered the most photographed church in Tyrol, presumably also because of its historical charm. The parish church is ancient; a renovation of the Romanesque building is said to have taken place as early as 1090. In 1496, it was converted in the Gothic style. Its striking tower dates from 1710. The building with its onion dome and slender spire owes its reputation as an unofficial landmark of the Tyrolean Oberland.
