
Igls, Tyrol
The parish church, dedicated to Saint Giles, is a beautiful medieval church that was later baroqueized. Worth seeing are the ceiling fresco and the Baroque organ, as well as a late Gothic crucifixion fresco in the adjoining northern chapel. Organ and church concerts take place in the parish church during the summer months. (Program available at the Igls Tourist Information)Every Good Friday, the over 100-year-old "Holy Sepulchre" is set up in full size. It is a work by the Tyrolean Heimatgrabmaler Josef Arnold d.Ä. from 1862.
