A special centerpiece and landmark of Rüstorf is the late Gothic hall church, dedicated to the Mother of God. According to historical records, the house of worship was likely a filial church of Schwanenstadt as early as 1348. The chapel and presbytery date from this period. The nave dates from the 15th century. The side aisles, the gallery, and the sacristy feature three-bay net rib vaults. The sacristy door and the north door are Gothic. According to experts in art circles, St. Mary's Church is considered one of the most architecturally interesting in the country.
