Pfarrkirche Muhr

Right in the village, you will find the Catholic Parish Church of Muhr. It is dedicated to Saint Rupert. In 1523, the notable "ecclesia s. Ruperti in alle mur" was first mentioned in documents. The west tower and the structure of the current nave have been preserved from the old late Gothic building. An extension to the east was added in 1732. The present high altar also dates from this year. It was renovated again in 1765. The altarpiece by Josef Rattensberger is from 1866, and the pulpit by Josef Andrä Eisl from 1741. In 2020 and 2021, the roof was re-tiled and a new cross was mounted on the church tower.
