Pfarrkirche in Natters

The Gothic church was first mentioned in a document in 1376. For centuries, the house of God was a popular pilgrimage site for people suffering from gout. Although the church is Gothic, it was somewhat "embellished" during the Baroque period: The almost 50-meter-high tower received a double spire in the 18th century. It is also adorned with frescoes and a Baroque sundial. The latter was designed in 1759 by the well-known local cartographer Peter Anich. Anton Zoller was responsible for the artistic implementation. The church is consecrated to Saint Michael, which is why the church patron saint's day with a procession takes place annually on September 29.
