Name: Parish Church of St. Rupert Description: The church parish of Stumm, which also includes the municipality of Stummerberg, as well as the Distelberg district of the municipality of Aschau, belongs to the Archdiocese of Salzburg. A special characteristic of this is also the green church tower. The parish church of Stumm is consecrated to St. Rupert and is located in the center of Stumm. Although first documented in 1414, soil investigations have shown that a church likely stood on this site between 900 and 1100. The greatest treasure of the church are the frescoes by Christof Anton Mayr (around 1765), which were fully uncovered again only in 1991 after several repaintings.
