Pfarrkirche Großarl

Großarl, Salzburg

The landmark of Großarl is the parish church, which is prominently situated on a rocky spur overlooking the town. The late Baroque church is a single-nave, wide hall church with a gabled roof, three bays, round-arch windows, and a distinctive tower. Rebuilt in the 18th century, the church today features a uniform Rococo interior. Surrounded by the cemetery, the church is a place of tranquility and an important historical and cultural center of the valley.
