Pfarrkirche Eberstalzell

The village is first mentioned in 777 AD in the founding document of Kremsmünster. Its monks built the first church, but it was destroyed. At the end of the 10th century, the new, wooden church was consecrated to St. Ulrich. In the 15th century, this was replaced by a larger one with ashlar stones and a corner tower. The tower received its current form in the 18th century when a high double dome was placed on the bell chamber. A major church renovation took place between 1866 and 1882. In the course of this, the church received a Neo-Gothic interior. Subsequently, four colored stained-glass windows could be installed in the central part of the church. The church interior is a two-aisled hall, structured by two central pillars. In the spirit of the late Gothic style, it was spanned by a rich star and net rib vault.
