Pfarrkirche Birgitz zu Maria Heimsuchung

Parish Church of the Visitation of Mary! The house of worship was built between 1634-1637. A Baroque renovation followed in 1727-1728. The stone-framed round-arch portal opens the church. Figures of Saints Sebastian and Blasius from the second quarter of the 18th century are placed to its sides. Above the church entrance is a fresco depicting the Stations of the Cross. The Visitation of the Mother of God adorns the gable field. The nave received a transept-like extension. The sacristy is attached to the polygonal choir. The central axis of the building is highlighted by a large round-arch window. The ceiling painting is by Josef Anton Kirchebner.
