Time travel in the heart of Lockenhaus: The Baroque Parish Church With its impressive history and unique architecture, the Lockenhaus Parish Church is a true jewel of Burgenland. Commissioned in 1656 by the important builder Franz Nádasdy and erected by the Italian master builder Pietro Orsolini, it impressively combines Renaissance and Baroque styles. The high altar with the miraculous image "The Mother of Good Counsel", the Marian altar with the "Magna Mater Hungariae" and the mysterious "Black Madonna" in the crypt tell of deep piety and a turbulent past. A special highlight is Burgenland's largest organ, which regularly comes to life during concerts with renowned artists – an experience that annually attracts visitors from all over the world.
