Peter Habeler Runde

Whether clockwise or counter-clockwise, the goal is to circumnavigate the peaks of the western Zillertal Alps. The mountaineering villages of Ginzling in the Zillertal or St. Jodok with Schmirn (Toldern and Kasern) and Vals in the Wipptal are available as starting points. Furthermore, you can start directly from Brenner or from Pfitschtal, from Schlegeisspeicher or - as in the variant described here - from Hintertux! All valley towns are reachable by public transport (train or bus). On a total distance of approx. 56 km and 4,990 meters of ascent as well as 4,980 meters of descent, we reach 6 mountain huts in a beautiful alpine landscape.
