Scale replicas of bridges It is thanks to an absolute career changer - Renate Theißl is a trained chef - that many of the old bridges, which used to span our Alpine streams, valleys and rivers in large numbers, did not fall victim to the chainsaw or excavator. As part of the "Original Bridge Preservation Program", these were relocated to the open-air area in Edelsbach. At the Bridge Building Museum in Edelsbach bei Feldbach, Renate Theißl has made it her life's work to collect bridges worth preserving and to reconstruct them in detail. She has now become a sought-after expert in bridge building. Workshops are also offered: under expert guidance, participants can build their own model bridges.
