Nikolauskapelle

The Nikolauskapelle was built in 1987, one of the "small sanctuaries" of this area. The chapel commemorates the former Nikolauskirche, which was located in the immediate vicinity from 1180 - 1792. The church's sacristan's house still exists. On its backside, there is a probably Celtic holed stone, which points to a pre-Christian cult tradition. There is also an old well, above which a small chapel formerly stood. Services are regularly held in the chapel. Around St. Nicholas' Eve, an atmospheric lantern walk takes place from Adlwang to the Nikolauskapelle.
