Naturschutzgebiet Jaidhaus

The high-lying meadows were mown by farmers once a year in earlier times – in late summer – to obtain hay and grass for livestock. With this form of cultivation, the farmers created and maintained a valuable and species-rich cultural landscape. The end of this form of meadow management also endangered the meadows of Jaidhaus. Today, this unique landscape is under nature protection and is mown once a year again, as in the past, which helps preserve the biodiversity of plants and animals.Public transport:The Steyrtal is served by bus lines 452 (Rohr-Bad Hall-Steinbach a. d.
